View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FAIRHAVEN–Bernice E. (Souza) Kondi, 90, of New Bedford died Saturday, September 15, 2007 after a long illness at the Alden Court Nursing and Rehab Center in Fairhaven. She was the wife of the late Alexander Kondi.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and the late Sarah (Leary) Souza. She was a member of St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in New Bedford for many years.
She worked in the office at Babbitt Steam Specialty Co. and part time at the post office at the Star Store in downtown New Bedford before its closing.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Sue Kondi and Carol Ann Silva both of New Bedford; a brother, Frank E. Souza and his wife Ruth of Mattapoisett; two granddaughters, Susan A. Silva of Cranston, RI and Lynne M. Perry and her husband Kevin of South Dartmouth; and four great grandchildren.

Private arrangements are by the Donaghy Funeral Home, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
