SOMERSET – Oscar J.G. Langlais, 73, of Somerset and Kissimmee, Fl, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2007, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Oscar J. and Eva (Labbe) Langlais, he was the husband of Lorraine (Vezina) Langlais, to whom he was married for fifty-three years. Mr. Langlais was a member of the United States Naval Reserve. He worked for Brayton Point Station of the former New England Power Co. in Somerset as a control room engineer for thirty years, before retiring in 1992. He was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church, and a member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks, who enjoyed traveling, camping, playing tennis, woodworking, and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his wife, Mr. Langlais is survived by two daughters, Brenda L. Langlais of Portsmouth, RI, and Linda A. Hilliard of Somerset; a son, Gary O. Langlais of Somerset; a sister, Rita Correia of Fall River; four brothers, Henry Langlais of Fall River, Donald Langlais of Somerset, Albert Langlais of New Hampshire, and Alfred Langlais of Acushnet, MA. He was the Pepere of Tyler, Olivia, Laura, Camille, Gregory, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lorraine Dion. Funeral InformationHis funeral will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Louis de France Church, 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow the funeral Mass in Nathan Slade Cemetery in Somerset.
