View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Gary Robert Nunes, 45 years old, of Norton, died Saturday May 27, 2006 in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston from complications following open heart surgery. He was born and raised in Taunton, son of the late Robert David Nunes and the late Shirley (Coyle) Nunes. He was a graduate in 1980 of the Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School. He established his own flooring business, worked for the Commonwealth of MA at the Wrentham State School and then for Mentor of Taunton where he and his family cared for and shared their home with Matthew for many years. His greatest joy, source of pride and sense of accomplishment was his 19 year old son, Louis James Nunes of Norton. His son’s love sustained him through the last years of his life and Louis was with his father holding his hand when he died. Besides his son, Louis of Norton he leaves his siblings, Father James Nunes, M.S. of Richmond Hill, NY; Amarill Lopes of Assonet; Doris Nunes of Taunton; Robert Nunes of Berkley; Malissa Dykeman of Fall River and Debby Ponte of Taunton. He is also survived by several Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service of prayer and remembrance in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. ( Route 138 South) Taunton on Saturday June 3, 2006 at 11AM.
