Luella Lucy (Devine) De Bourke

RAYNAHM – Luella Lucy (Devine) De Bourke, 92, died Thursday, December 17, 2009, in Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Tilting, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget (Doyle) Devine, she was the wife of Robert De Bourke.

Educated in the Boston Public Schools, Mrs. De Bourke was a retired secretary for the family business, the DeBourke Company of Needham, MA. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading and knitting. She and her husband Robert have been residents of Raynham since 1992 and she was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church.

Besides her husband of Raynham, Luella is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Chiverton of Milford (MA); and a son, Richard De Bourke and his wife Hae Young of Seoul, Korea. She was the grandmother of Sheena De Bourke, Robert De Bourke, Michael Chiverton; and the great-grandmother of Alethea De Bourke and Desiree Kandel. She was the sister of Nina Ford of Canada and Marion Blanchard of Missouri, and the aunt of several.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at 10:00AM, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Ann’s Church, 660 Main St., Raynham, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Needham. Visiting hours are scheduled for Tuesday, December 29, from 2:00-8:00PM.
