ATTLEBORO - Cecile M. (Duclos) Fanning, 87, of Pleasant Street, Attleboro, died Sunday, April 29, 2007, in the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Fanning.
Born in Pawtucket, RI a daughter of the late Edward R. and Julia (Nadeau) Duclos, she lived most of her life in Attleboro and South Attleboro having relocated from Pawtucket. She was employed by Swanton's Furniture Company of Attleboro for many years before retiring. She was an avid reader and a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro.
She leaves one son, Peter J. and his wife Karen A. Fanning of Berkely, MA; one daughter, Karen A. Courtemanche of Attleboro; two brothers, Clement Duclos of South Attleboro and Raymond Duclos of Swansea; five sisters, Rita Rogers of Pawtucket, Gertrude Brillon and Elaine Monast, both of South Attleboro, and Beatrice Cronin and Doris Summerly, both of Attleboro. She also leaves four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ferman, Clifford and Lester Duclos, Yvonne Schultz and Esther Aussant.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 10:00AM, celebrated by the Rev. Richard Roy, in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in the Family Lot in St. John Cemetery, West St., Attleboro.
