REHOBOTH – David K. Lake, 69, of Walnut Street, Rehoboth, died on Saturday, November 10, 2007, in Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, a son of the late Felix and Harriet (Johnson) Lake, he was the devoted husband of Mary K. (Healy) Lake, to whom he was married thirty-nine years. He resided in Rehoboth since 1959, having previously lived in Attleboro.

Mr. Lake was an engineer with the Checon Corporation of Attleboro for twenty years before retiring in 1997. His favorite pastimes were collecting antique bottle and gardening. He was a “Mr. Fix It” for his family and enjoyed taking long walks in the woods with his pet beagle, “Jackson”. He also loved to take long drives with his wife throughout the New England area.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lake leaves one son, Scott D. Lake of Rehoboth, and his pet beagle, “Jackson,” in addition to several cousins, close friends and childhood friends. He was the brother of the late Richard D. Lake.

Funeral Information

His funeral will be held on Monday, November 18, 2007, at 11:00AM in the COOK-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park Street (Route118) in Attleboro. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Rehoboth. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held in the COOK CHAPEL on Sunday from 5:00 to 8:00PM.
