View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Rita Marie (St. Laurent) Lanneville., 90, of Somerset passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the Clifton Nursing and Rehabilitative Center in Somerset. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Lanneville. Rita was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Nelson and Celina (Bertrand) St. Laurent. She worked as a seamstress in the garment industry in Fall River for fifty years, retiring in 1985. Rita was a communicant of Saint Louis de France Church in Swansea, a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and a member of the South Somerset Improvement Society. Mrs. Lanneville enjoyed bowling, traveling, trips to the casino. She also attended minor league baseball games and was an avid Red Sox fan. Rita most enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Survivors are three sons Paul H. Lanneville Jr. and his wife Madeleine of Somerset, MA; Gerald R. Lanneville and his wife Maggie of Somerset, MA; Thomas G. Lanneville of Somerset, MA; a sister Eva Anselmo of Somerset, MA; a brother Louis St. Laurent of Fall River, MA; five grandchildren Daniel, Michael, David, Kathleen and Andrew Lanneville; a great granddaughter Julia Grace and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marie Louise St. Laurent and Hector, John and Nelson St. Laurent.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9am from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Louis De France Church 56 Buffinton St., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. CALLING HOURS are MONDAY from 5-8pm
