Alice M. (Blakeley) Yule

SOMERSET – Alice M. (Blakeley) Yule, 91, of Somerset, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2009. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Alice (Butterworth) Blakeley, she was the wife of the late Melvin D. Yule.

A 1934 graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Mrs. Yule subsequently worked as a secretary at the Kerr Thread Mill, graduated from the Herrick Business Institute, and was employed for twenty years as the secretary to Mr. Everett Mills, President of the R. A. McWhirr Co. department store in Fall River.

A resident of Somerset since 1955, she is survived by her daughter, Jane A. Williamson and her husband Robert of Somerset, MA; her son, Robert B. Yule and his wife Sandra of Santa Cruz, CA; four grandchildren, Peter B. Williamson, Amy A. Pickering, Robert B. (Blake) Yule, Jr., and Sean G. M. Yule; ten wonderful great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
