View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER, MA – Wilfred E. Gaulin, 96, of Fall River, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the Clifton Rehabilitative Center in Somerset. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Bernier) Gaulin and the companion of Dot LaFleur of Fall River.
Mr. Gaulin served his country during WWII with the United States Army. After the war, he owned and operated the former Gaulin Street Diner on Third Street in Fall River for many years. He then went to work for the VA Hospital in Providence in the maintenance department for twelve years, retiring in 1975. He was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Church in Fall River and was an avid ballroom dancer.
Survivors beside his companion Dot are a son, Robert W. Gaulin of New Hampshire; five grandchildren and many great and great-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours for Mr. Gaulin will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2010, from 9:00-10:00am in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River, with burial to follow with MILITARY HONORS in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
