View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FALL RIVER – Jacqueline (Bernier) Belanger, 73, of Broadway in Fall River, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 28, 2007. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Ovila and Lucy (Benoit) Bernier, she was the wife of Guilbert J. Belanger, to whom she was married for fifty-four years.
Mrs. Belanger worked as a sewing machine operator in the garment industry in Fall River and then worked in the claims department for AETNA, before retiring several years ago. She was a communicant of Holy Ghost Church in Tiverton, and enjoyed sewing, making crafts, and spending time with family and friends.
She leaves two daughters, Debra M. Tavares and her husband Wayne of Fall River and Kathy B. Melanson-LePage and her husband Jeff of Somerset; two sisters, Bernadette Coelho of Fall River and Delores Baxley of Florida; seven grandchildren, Shannon, Brianne, Amy, Sheena, Amy Lynn, Michael, Cassey; and one great-grandson, Max Hunter. She was the sister of the late Jean Bernier and Lucien Bernier.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at 9:00AM from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUENRAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, (PARKING IN REAR OF FACILITY), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Judson St., Tiverton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow the Mass in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours with Video Photo Album will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
