SWANSEA – Robert W. Lake, 35, of Swansea, passed away suddenly Friday, April 11, 2008, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the son of Franklin J. Lake of Swansea and the late Janis (Jorgenson) Lake, Mr. Lake was a graduate of Joseph Case High School in Swansea with the Class of 1991, after which he then attended Bridgewater State College and Bristol Community College.

While enrolled in high school and college, Mr. Lake was very involved with the Drama Club. He started to work for Amnesty International, a human rights organization. He then worked in the financial industry as a customer service representative for several years. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed reading about current events and watching movies.

In addition to his father, Mr. Lake leaves a brother, Edward W. Lake of Swansea; and three nephews, Zachary John Lake, Adam James Lake, and Bradford Edward Lake, all of Fall River.

Funeral Information

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at 10:00AM in the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 15, from 5:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
