View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SOMERSET – Georgette (Ganem) Mandeville, 54, of Somerset, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River. Born in Camp Killmore, New Jersey, the daughter of the late George and Louise (Davis) Ganem, she was married to her high school sweet-heart, Ronald C. Mandeville, Jr., for thirty-seven years.
A graduate with the Class of 1972 of Somerset High School, Mrs. Mandeville was a devoted mother to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also worked as the secretary for the Board of Selectmen in Somerset for ten years. Georgette was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Parish in Somerset. She enjoyed helping others, knitting, crocheting and animals.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mandeville leaves a daughter, Valerie L. Raposo and her husband Timothy of Somerset; two sons, Adam C. Mandeville and his wife Valerie of Swansea and Bradford T. Mandeville and his wife Melody of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Tavian and Brielle; two sisters, Patricia Wagher of Whiting, NJ, and Denise Flanagan of Stockbridge, GA; a brother, Robert Ganem of Somerset; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Karen Carlson and Joseph Hurley.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Monday, May 11, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Patrick’s Church, 306 South St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours with Video Photo Album will be held Sunday, May 10, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
