Theresa E. Novak

November 28, 1914 - March 31, 2006

Theresa E. (Castelejo) Novak, 64, of Fairhaven died Friday, March 31, 2006 in her home after a long illness. She was the wife of Paul F. Novak. Born November 28, 1941 in Acushnet the daughter of the late Joseph and Gloria (Mello) Castelejo, she lived there until moving to Fairhaven 1962. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven.

Mrs. Novak graduated from Fairhaven High School and later attended Kenyon Campbell Business School. She worked as a courier for the Massachusetts State Lottery and then Cornish Insurance. Mrs. Novak retired from A.T. & T. where she worked in customer service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Michael P. Novak and his wife Fatima of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Susan L. Poyant and her husband Richard of Fairhaven; four grandchildren, Matthew and Kyle Desrosiers and Michael and Zachary Novak; sister-in-law of Pat Marujo of Fairhaven; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Castelejo, the late Alyce Carvalho, and the late Lillian Cobb.

Funeral Information

Her funeral will be Monday, April 3, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main St., Fairhaven followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven. An interment service will follow in River-Side Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 4-8 PM.
