View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Roberta Ann (Cabral) Cabral, 62, of Fairhaven, died unexpectedly Monday, November 9, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. She was the former wife of Gerald L. Cabral of Kathleen, FL. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Evelyn Mary (Herrick) Cabral, she lived most of her life in Fairhaven.
A homemaker and foster parent to many, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mrs. Cabral was a former member of the Women’s Auxiliary at the VFW Post in Fairhaven.
In addition to her former husband, Mrs. Cabral is survived by two sons, Chad L. Cabral of Kathleen, FL, and Michael J. Cabral and his wife Helena of Acushnet; two nephews whom she raised, Shannon Grimley of Zephyrhills, FL, and Terry Lominitz of Cristal Springs, FL; a brother, Joseph Cabral, Jr., of Norway; two sisters, Linda L. Cabral and Dianna L. Trznadel and her husband Dennis, all of Zephyrhills, FL; two grandchildren, Logan L. Cabral and Milla R. Cabral; a godchild, Jody Trznadel; two nieces, Melissa and Sandy, and a nephew, Ricky.
Funeral Information
In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated, and memorial calling hours will be Sunday, November 15, 2009, from 2:00-5:00PM in THE FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven.
