View Tribute and Sign Guestbook BERKLEY – James R. Barrow, 74, died Monday March 30, 2009, in Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. Born in North Dighton, son of the late John and Mary (Leather) Barrow, he was the husband of the late Lorraine (Pelland) Barrow.
He was the retired Chief of the Fire Department for the Town of Berkley, serving as Chief from 1971 to 1989. He was educated in the Dighton Public Schools and was a graduate of the Bristol County Agricultural High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his brother, John Barrow and his wife Joan of Berkley; a niece, Belinda Carpenter and her husband Darryl of Dighton; and a nephew, Steven Barrow and his wife Lisa Barrow of Berkley; as well as a great niece and nephew.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Thursday, April 2, 2009, from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Interment will be private, for the family only, in Fox Cemetery, Berkley.
