View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SOMERSET, MA – Avis (Chace) Lahue, 95, of Somerset, died Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the Crawford Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fall River. Born in Somerset, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Ethel (Babbitt) Chace, she was the wife of the late Everett F. Lahue.
Mrs. Lahue worked as an office clerk for Raytheon in North Dighton and for Harodite Finishing, also in North Dighton, for a combined thirty years. Mrs. Lahue enjoyed spending time with family, especially traveling. She also enjoyed a solving a good crossword puzzle and crocheting.
Mrs. Lahue is survived by a daughter, Donna E. Silvia and her husband Henry of Somerset; a son, Everett F. Lahue, Jr., and his wife Sharon of Lake Wales, FL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Roberta L. Conroy of Swansea, MA; a son-in-law, Donald Dandurand of Edwards, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Marcia A. Dandurand and Robert Lahue. She was the sister of the late Flora E. Buist, Alma E. Ashton and Raymond B. Chace.
Funeral Information
Her funeral service will be held Friday, February 19, 2010, at 11:00am in the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00am.
