Amanda A. Kelly, 11 years old, died on July 26, 2006, in Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Providence after a brief illness. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of Karen Capelo- Zankul of Dighton and Michael Kelly of Taunton.

She was a fifth grade student at Our Lady of Lourdes School in Taunton. She is the sister of Rachel Zankul of Dighton. She enjoyed making bracelets, skiing, baseball, softball, swimming, dancing, traveling, going to the beach, spending time with her puppy “ Bailey” and participating in the Ronald MacDonald Walks. She was an accomplished gymnast having won many trophies.

Besides her parents and sister she is survived by her step father Sam Zankul of Dighton, her paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Ann Kelly of Taunton, her maternal grandmother Zelia Capelo of Taunton; niece of Rich and Nancy Capelo, Tommy and Grace Capelo, Carl Capelo; Kelly and Jay Bettencourt and Kevin Kelly; cousin of several and she was the granddaughter of the late Arthur Capelo.

Funeral Information

Visiting hours will be on Sunday, July 30, 3006 from 4-8PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave.,( Route 138 South) Taunton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Annunciation of the Lord Church, Taunton on Monday at 10AM. Interment St Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
