View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Johanna Maria (Heuser) Gathright, 75, died at her home in Taunton Tuesday morning, November 17, 2009. She was the widow of Truman L. Gathright, Senior Master Sgt, USAF (retired). Born and educated in Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Maria Heuser, she made her home all over the world with her late husband while he served in the U. S. Air Force.
A Taunton resident for more than thirty years, Mrs. Gathright had been employed as an etcher at the Reed and Barton Co.
Mrs. Gathright is survived by her daughter, Lilo Johnson-Smith and her husband Philip Johnson-Smith of Taunton and Leesburg, FL. She was also the grandmother of Kristine Rocha, Kelly Johnson-Smith and Heidi Bonner, all of Florida; and the great-grandmother of Kasey Rocha, Hannah and Isaac Bonner. She was the sister of Elfriede Fischer, Anni Puschman and Edith Schilling, all of Germany; and the aunt of several.
Funeral Information
