Iris Myrna Reyes-Flores

NEW BEDFORD – Iris Myrna Reyes-Flores, 12, of Spruce Street, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2009. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Hector Reyes and Iris Flores.

Iris was a member of the Roosevelt Middle School family. She was recognized at the school as a fun-loving, joyful, energetic individual who had a love for basketball, cheerleading, spending time with her friends, and dance. She was loved by her peers and her smile was contagious. She often spoke proudly of her family, and their love and support was evident through the experiences she shared with teachers and friends. Iris will be greatly missed and will always hold a place in the hearts of the Roosevelt Middle School Family.

Besides her mom and dad, she leaves four sisters, Noelia Reyes of New Bedford, Aixa Reyes of Connecticut, Veronica Reyes of New Bedford, and Alondra Reyes of Puerto Rico.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 1, 2009, from 2:00-4:00PM in THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford, Massachusetts, with a service of remembrance to follow at 3:30PM. Burial will be private.
