Helen M. (Fiske) Radnor

ATTLEBORO, MA – Helen M. (Fiske) Radnor, 92, a lifelong resident of Attleboro, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. Born in Attleboro, the daughter of the late Lester E. and Mary Ann (Mitchell) Fiske, she was the wife of the late Arthur A. Radnor.

A graduate with the Class of 1934 of Attleboro High School, upon graduating she worked for several years in the purchasing department for Bay State Optical. Mrs. Radnor then devoted her life to raising her family.

She was a member of All Saints Church in Attleboro and a member of its Women’s Guild. Mrs. Radnor was also a member of the Norton Country Club, where she hit a hole in one. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, a former girl scout leader, a golfer and a bowler. Her hobbies were sewing, knitting and reading.

Mrs. Radnor leaves two daughters, Jane A. Teixeira and her husband Paul of N. Attleboro, MA, and Susan L. Shannon and her husband Robert of Pembroke, MA; a son, Stephen A. Radnor and his wife Robyn of Attleboro, MA; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two nephews, George L. Fisk and Richard Fisk, both of N. Attleboro. She was also the sister of the late George L. Fisk and the aunt of the late Bette Mae Nardelli and Robert Fisk.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service with Holy Communion will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009, at 11:00AM in All Saints Episcopal Church, 121 North Main St., Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend by reporting directly to the Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 18, from 4:00-7:00PM in the COOK FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park St., Attleboro, MA.
