View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SWANSEA – Paul A. Lamoureux, 74, of Seaview Avenue in Swansea, died on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at the Kimwell Nursing Center in Fall River. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph T. and R. Blanche (Bergeron) Lamoureux.
Mr. Lamoureux graduated with the Class of 1949 at BMC Durfee High School and went on to graduate from the former Durfee Bradford Technical School in 1953. He served his country with the United States Army, then worked as a research chemist for the United States Army Natick Research Department & Engineering Center.
He was a communicant of Saint Dominic’s Church in Swansea, and a member of the American Association of Textiles and Colorists, as well as the Newport Ski Club. He also enjoyed sailing.
Mr. Lamoureux leaves two brothers, Frederic J. Lamoureux and George A. Lamoureux, both of Swansea; and a godchild, Erin Knight of Bristol, RI.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2007, at 8:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in Saint Dominic’s Church, 1277 GAR Hwy., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Entombment will follow the funeral Mass in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 4:00-7:00PM.
