View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Emily Eleanor (Singster) Gagne, 94 of 1748 Highland Ave, Fall River, formerly of 164 Hartwell Street died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Highlander Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Charles N. Gagne. Born February 24, 1912 in Fall River, MA; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roseanna (Bosse) Singster.
Mrs. Gagne had worked for Providence Pile for 6 years as a Loom Tender retiring in 1972 she had also worked for Berkshire Hathaway for 15 years and Firestone Rubber for 8 years during World War II.
She was a member of Saint Mary's Cathedral Church in Fall River, Member of Tecumseh Mill Senior Citizen's Club, Former Vice President of William Street Apt. Senior Club, former Steward of AFL- CIO.
She leaves one sister Lucille Rea of Sacco, Maine, one godson, David C. Medeiros and his wife Madeline (Mello) Medeiros of Assonet, MA; three grandchildren Jay Medeiros, Melissa Homol, Kyle Medeiros, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Gagne was the sister of the late Aldea Gagnon, Henry Singster and Adelard Singster.
Funeral Information
Her Funeral will be held Thursday, May 4, 2006 at 8:30 am from the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Mary's Cathedral, 327 Spring Street, Fall River. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours will be held Wednesday, May 3, 2006 from 5-8 pm in the Funeral Home.
