Bertha E. Kopcych

Bertha E. (Smith) Kopcych, 86 years old, died on Friday evening September 29, 2006 at her daughter's home in Raynham. A forty year resident of Berkley she was the widow of Anthony Kopcych who died in April of 2003. She and her late husband lived in Collinsville,IL from 1954 to 1966. Born in Middleboro daughter of the late Malcolm and Mary (Pierce) Smith.

She was educated in Middleboro and Bridgewater schools. She was a member of the Berkley American Legion Women's Auxillary. She is survived by two daughters Genie Stonesifer and her husband David of Troy, IL and Nancy Witherell and her husband Peter of Raynham, and 3 sons Anthony Kopcych,Jr and his wife Shirley of Rescue,CA; Howard Kopcych and his wife Sandra of Collinsville,IL; Peter Kopcych of East Taunton and also mother of the late Robert Kopcych. She is the grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 13 and sister of Robert Smith of Bridgewater, Eugenie Roupa of East Taunton and Grace Steward and her husband Robert of Davenport, FL.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday evening Oct 3, 2006 at 7PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South) Taunton, following visiting hours from 4-7PM. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
