Florence M. (Pillmear) Rezendes

FALL RIVER – Florence M. (Pillmear) Rezendes, 85, a resident of the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Henry and Grace (Platt) Pillmear, she was the wife of the late John S. Rezendes.

She devoted her life to raising her family and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Fall River for many years. Mrs. Rezendes enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She leaves three daughters, Susan Perry of Fall River, Cheryl McGill of Uniontown, OH, and Arline Baldwin of Mesa, AZ; two sons, Henry Rezendes and Michael Rezendes, both of Fall River; three sisters, Lorraine Szaro of Alton, RI, Lena Halliwell of Fall River, and Catherine Crowther of Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joann Rezendes and Brian Rezendes and the sister of the late Ella Gosson, Lillian Costa, Barbara Buck, Margaret Carreiro, Henrietta Chipperfield and Henry Pillmear.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009, at 11:00AM in the First Baptist Church, 228 North Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend by reporting directly to the church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
