Cecile M. "Cil" (Gaboury) Ziajor

TAUNTON – Cecile M. "Cil" (Gaboury) Ziajor, 79, died in the Taunton Nursing Home on Thursday, August 14, 2008, following a short period of ill health. Born in Woonsocket, RI, the daughter of the late Henry and Fleurinda (Vadnais) Gadboury, she was the wife of the late Walter “Chick” Ziajor. She was educated in St. Clare’s School in Woonsocket.

After her marriage, Mrs. Ziajor moved to Taunton in 1953. She was a very active volunteer at Morton Hospital in Taunton and was so honored by the hospital as Volunteer of the Year. She was an avid reader.

Mrs. Ziajor was the mother of Debra Maturi and her husband Henry of North Kingstown, RI, and Carol Bousquet and her husband Peter of Taunton; and the grandmother of Daniel and Lindsay Maturi and Nicole and Michael Bosquet; and the sister of Therese Cournoyer of New Hampshire, and the late Madeline Duchareme.

Funeral Information

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held from THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Monday, August 18, 2008, at 9:30AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, August 17, from 4:00-7:00PM in the funeral home.
