View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FAIRHAVEN – Antone Farias, Jr., 84, of Fairhaven, died Friday, April 20, 2007, at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Alice (Ponte) Farias. Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Antone Sr. and the late Mary C. (Pimental) Farias, he was a lifelong resident of Fairhaven.
Mr. Farias was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a commercial fisherman and also worked at the Chamberlain Corp. in New Bedford until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and cooking.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael W. Farias of Fairhaven; a daughter, Debra A. Farias of Fairhaven; two brothers, James and John T. Farias, both of Fairhaven; a sister, Lydia May of Traverse City, Michigan; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Farias was the father of the late Antone V. Farias.
Funeral Information
