NEW BEDFORD – Katherine Rose Kowal, the infant daughter of Jason and Kristi (Garlington) Kowal, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008, at birth in St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford.

In addition to her parents, Katherine leaves her maternal grandparents, James Garlington and his wife Susan of Cranston, RI, and Sally (Winterson) Garlington of New Bedford; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Jean (Moody) Kowal of Fairhaven; maternal great-grandmothers, Virginia (Richmond) Winterson of New Bedford and Dorothy (Kenyon) Garlington of S. Dartmouth; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
