View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Marvel A. (Gesner) Kessell., 104, of the Adams House, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Adams House, she was formerly of Milton Street in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Raymond Kessell. Born in Fall River, MA on August 5, 1902 the daughter of the late Chester B. and Mary Louise (Hicks) Gesner.
She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High school class of 1921 and also a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial school in Providence in 1922, after graduating she worked as a secretary for Leemings Construction Company in Fall River for several years. Mrs. Kessell was a member of the Fall River Garden Club and the Fall River Women's Club.
Survivors are three nieces Constance M. Black of Fall River, MA Delores Tickle of Swansea, MA Barbara A. Potts of Fall River, MA a nephew Chester Hayden of Tiverton, RI.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10am in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours Prior to Service from 9-10am Burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery Fall River.
