View Tribute and Sign Guestbook BERKLEY – Allen F. Raymond, 74, died suddenly at his home Sunday, May 17, 2009. Born in Taunton, the son of the late Ernest and Marion (French) Raymond, he was the husband of Jacqueline “Jackie” (Fortier) Raymond, to whom he was married nearly fifty-eight years. A Berkley resident all of his life, he was educated in the Berkley and Dighton Public Schools. He was a member of the Berkley Congregational Church.
Mr. Raymond worked as a foreman for more than thirty years for the Fernandes Construction Co. in Bridgewater; after his retirement he formed his own construction firm, Raymond Construction. He and his wife were active with their children in the 4H Club years ago.
Besides his wife, Allen is survived by his daughters, Deborah Raymond and her husband Greg Cotter of Marshfield, Sharon Raymond and her husband Joel Castro of Virginia, and Lisa Jackson and her husband Stephen of Connecticut. He was the grandfather of Joshua Raymond, USMC, Caleb Raymond, Deidre Cotter, and Hunter and Casey Jackson. He was the brother of Doris Caron of Berkley and the uncle of many.
Funeral Information
A funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited to attend will be held in the Berkley Congregational Church, 59 S. Main St., Berkley, Saturday, May 23, 2009, at 10:00AM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Dighton. Visiting hours will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, Friday, May 22, from 4:00-8:00PM.
