NEW BEDFORD – Louise A. (Dalmar) Pearson of New Bedford died unexpectedly on Friday, November 9, 2007, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and the late Mary (Costa) Dalmar, she was the wife of Harry Pearson, Jr., to whom she was married fifty-six years.

Mrs. Pearson was a lifelong New Bedford resident. A graduate of New Bedford High School and a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in New Bedford, she was employed by the New Bedford Merchants Bank, prior to rearing her family, and was a member of the Massachusetts Horticultural Society.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Pearson leaves two daughters, Deborah P. Woodhouse and her husband John C. Woodhouse of Houston, TX, and Marybeth P. McMahon and her husband Brian E. McMahon of Westwood; a sister, Elsie Brown of South Dartmouth; three grandsons, Christopher J., and Matthew P. McMahon and John P. Woodhouse; and one niece and one nephew.

Funeral Information

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 16, 2007, at 11:00AM in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church on Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford. Calling hours will be omitted and her interment will be private. All arrangements have been lovingly entrusted to the care of the DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford.
