View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Zuleika Almodovar, 51, of Deane Street, New Bedford, died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at home. Born in Puerto Rico, the daughter of Eullaulia (Delgado) Vega and the late Eugenio Vega, she was the wife of Louis O’Reilly of New Bedford.
Ms. Almodovar attended Bristol Community College in Fall River.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four daughters, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Marta Almodovar, Zuleika Mooney and Galena Guiterrez, all of New Bedford; one brother, Pablo Delgado Vega of Puerto Rico; three sisters, Angelica Vazquez and Eugenia Vega-Delgado, both of New Bedford, and Elba Vega of Puerto Rico; and two grandchildren, Jonathon Bradford Mooney and Zuleika Zuly Lobo, both of New Bedford. Mrs. Almodovar was the sister of the late Thomas Vega Delgado.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held Friday, March 28, 2008, at 9:00AM, from THE DONAGHY FUNERAL HOME, 465 County Street, New Bedford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Lawrence Church, County and North Streets, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 27, from 4:00-8:00PM in the funeral home.
