View Tribute and Sign Guestbook NEW BEDFORD – Paul M. Jorissen, 57, of Fairhaven, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the New Bedford Rehab Hospital. He was the former husband of Elaine (Marden) Gonville of Acushnet. Born in London, England, the son of Hubert J. Jorissen of Fairhaven and the late Bettie (Roberts) Jorissen, he came from England in 1958.
Mr. Jorissen was a graduate of the New Bedford Vocational High School and served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He later worked at the Acushnet Process, Rubber Division. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Fairhaven.
He is survived by his father and former wife; a son, Paul M. Jorissen of Acushnet; a daughter, Heather Ann Hall and her husband P.J. of Greenville, NC; a sister, Ann Jorissen and her husband Scott Bryan and their daughter Laurie Bryan, all of Norwell; an aunt, Patricia Arsenault and her husband Roger and their sons, Peter and Neil of Fairhaven; and extended family in Holland.
Funeral Information
His funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2007, at 11:00AM in the FAIRHAVEN FUNERAL HOME, 117 Main St., Fairhaven, followed by interment with honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00PM.
