View Tribute and Sign Guestbook ASSONET, MA – Alberto M. Feijo, 90, of Assonet, formerly of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Vincent and Guilhermina (Moniz) Feijo, he was the husband of the late Mary (Pontifice) Feijo.
Mr. Feijo served his country during WWII with the Unites States Army. He then worked as a jigger in the former Capri Textile dye house and Newport Finishing. Alberto worked for twenty-three years and retired in 1980. He was a communicant of Saint Bernard Church in Assonet and a former communicant at and was at one time a very active member of Saints Peter & Paul Parish in Fall River. He enjoyed classical music and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Feijo leaves a son, David M. Feijo and his wife Linda of Assonet; a brother, Vincent Feijo, Jr., of Fall River; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Benevides, Irene Gaspar, Sally Tavares, and James Feijo and Seraphine Feigo.
Funeral Information
His funeral will be held Monday, January 19, 2009, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Bernard Church, 32 Main St., Assonet. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial with MILITARY HONORS will follow the Mass in Newport Memorial Park Cemetery, Middletown, RI. Calling hours with video photo album will be held Sunday, January 18, from 2:00-5:00PM in the funeral home.
