Cecelia J. (Tomawski) Majkut

Cecelia J. (Tomawski) Majkut, 103, of Taunton, died peacefully at home Saturday, September 30, 2017, surrounded by members of her loving family. She was the wife of the late John S. Majkut, to whom she was married for 54 years.
Born in Taunton, daughter of the late Jan and Josephine (Grabowski) Tomaszewski, Cecelia was a lifelong resident of the city. She attended Taunton schools and later worked for many years at Whittenton Garment until her retirement.
She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church and in recent years a member of Holy Family Parish. She had a deep and abiding faith and was a model of unconditional love for her family.
She is survived by two sons, John P. Majkut and his wife, Sharon Rossi Majkut, of Doylestown, PA, and Daniel Majkut and his wife, Carol, of East Taunton; two daughters, Dianne C. Kable and her husband, Theodore, of East Taunton, with whom Cecelia made her home for the last nine years; and Valerie J. Patenaude and her husband, Atty. Richard Patenaude, of Taunton; grandchildren Kristin Majkut Sullivan and her husband, Bryan; Melanie Patenaude Layden; Kimberly Majkut Tyler and her husband, Steven; Catherine Majkut Shiao and her husband, Peter; Jonathan Majkut; Kara Majkut Ryan and her husband, Jeffrey; Alison Patenaude Caron; Vanessa Patenaude and her fiancé, Justin Allard; Laura Rossi Folk and her husband, Timothy; and Damon Rossi and his wife, Kelly; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Majkut was the sister of the late Maryann Brezinski and Joseph, Edwin A., Edmund, and Henry Tomawski.
Calling hours are Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m., in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
Her funeral will be Thursday, October 5, 2017, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay St., Taunton. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Taunton.
