View Tribute and Sign Guestbook SOMERSET – Florence (Martin) Reis, 78, of Child Street, Warren, RI, formerly of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the Crestwood Nursing Facility in Warren. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Mello) Martin, she was the wife of the late William J. Reis.
Mrs. Reis graduated with the Class of 1947 at BMC Durfee High School in Fall River, and then worked as a bookkeeper for the Ell Vee Dee Fish Company in New Bedford for twenty-five years, before retiring in 1983.
She leaves her sister, Ruth Dias of Swansea, MA, and her nephew and god- son, Jeffrey Dias, also of Swansea.
Funeral Information
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, at 9:00AM from the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME for FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in Saint Francis of Assisi Parish, on Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea. Burial will follow in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 4:00-7:00PM.
