Clinton Robert Harvey

DIGHTON, MA – Clinton Robert Harvey, 82, of Dighton, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Rehoboth, MA, the son of the late Henry L. and Cosie (Granger) Harvey, he was the husband of the late Ester-Betty (Sandlin) Harvey.

Mr. Harvey served his country during WWII with the 31-18th Signal Corps Battalion Company B for the United States Army Air Force. Following his military service, he worked for Mount Hope Machinery as a supervisor for forty-four years, before retiring in 1991.

He was a member of the Dighton Community Church, a past master of the Pioneer Masonic Lodge, F & AM, in Somerset, and a former member of the Star of Bethlehem Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Mr. Harvey was very involved with the Boy Scouts of America throughout his life. He was also the past commander of the Raposa-Knott VFW Post 2094 in North Dighton from 1951-1952, an avid Syracuse Orangeman fan as well as an ardent Red Sox fan, and enjoyed animals.

Mr. Harvey is survived by a son, Clinton Russell Harvey of Dighton, MA, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

His funeral service will be held Friday, February 22, 2008, at 10:00AM in the Dighton Community Church, 2036 Elm St., Dighton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, by reporting directly to the Church. Burial will follow the service in the Dighton Community Church Cemetery.
