View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Geraldine “Gerry” T. ( Ehrlich) Laffan died Saturday evening, April 18, 2009, one day after her 82nd birthday, in the Golden Living Center, Attleboro, after suffering for the past four years from Alzheimer’s. She was the widow of Vincent E. Laffan, to whom she was married fifty-three years. Born in Sharon, PA, the daughter of the late Theodore and Marion (Schumacher) Ehrlich, she was educated in the Mansfield Public Schools and was a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High School in Taunton.
Mrs. Laffan was a communicant of St. Andrew’s Church in Taunton. She is survived by her children, Catherine Ouellette and her husband Arthur of Taunton, Elizabeth Costa and Michael Rhodes of Gold Canyon, AZ, Colleen McKay and her husband Ronald of North Dighton, John Laffan and his wife Barbara of Monson, MA, Daniel Laffan and his wife Claudette of Berkley, and Kevin Laffan and his wife Renee of Taunton. Geraldine was the grandmother of seventeen and the great-grandmother of thirteen. She was also the grandmother of the late Joel Isaacson and Matthew Costa She; and the sister of Charles Ehrlich of Oakmont, PA, and Cyril Ehrlich of Reading, MA, and the late Clare Bergh, Jean Faria and Paul Ehrlich.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial, for her Cremains, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend, will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, 19 Kilmer St., Tanton, Friday, April 24, 2009, at 9:00AM. Visiting hours will be held Thursday, April 23, from 5:00-8:00PM in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
