View Tribute and Sign Guestbook FLORIDA/TAUNTON – Pauline A. (White) Castro, widow of Valerio “Vic” Castro, Jr., died in Sebastian River Medical Center, October 22, 2009. Born in Freetown, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Souza O’Brien White.
She lived most of her life in Massachusetts where she raised her family of five children. She was employed as a nurse at the Rte 44 Medical Center in Raynham for over twenty years before she retired to Barefoot Bay, FL, five years ago, and continued with her nursing career. She had a passion for painting, swing dancing and various other activities. Pauline was a member of the Sebastian Moose Lodge and other organizations within the Barefoot Bay Community.
She was proceeded in death by her husband of thirty-five years and is survived by her children, Chrystal Castro and James of San Francisco, Darlene Personeni and Richard of Taunton, Valerio Castro, III, and Denise of Middleton, MA, Kevin Castro of Taunton, and William Castro of Barefoot Bay, FL. She was the grandmother of nine. Pauline was the sister of Joseph White and Anna of Barefoot, Irene Lavoie and Norman of Barefoot, William White and Carole of Halifax, MA, and Gloria Costa and Louis of Melbourne, FL. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Andrew’s Church, 19 Kilmer Ave. (Tremont Street), Taunton, Saturday, November 14, 2009, at 10:00AM. Those attending are asked to report directly to the Church for the funeral liturgy. The CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton, MA, is assisting the family with local arrangements.
