Mary Barboza

View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Mary (Garcia) Barboza, died in Morton Hospital, Taunton on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 after a brief illness. Born in Taunton to the late Anibal and Theresa (Hirshbeck) Garcia. She was 86 years old and the wife of the late John “Joe” Barboza who died in 1999.
She was educated in Taunton Schools and was a communicant of St Joseph's Church in North Dighton. She was a resident of Taunton for the past five years living with her daughter Theresa Zuscin and her husband John. A long time resident of Easton she was a communicant of Holy Cross Church while living there. She was a retired employee of Texas Instruments and was also a part time worker at Oliver Ames High School working in the Cafeteria. After she left the Café at Oliver Ames she was a devoted care taker to parents of friends who lived in Bridgewater. She enjoyed reading and painting.
Besides her daughter she is survived by a grandson Tod Andrew Zuscin of Washington, DC and a grand daughter Lori Elizabeth Zimmerman of Merrimack, NH and a great grandson Rutger Alexander Zuscin. She is the sister of Esther Keogh and Doris Mealey of Taunton and Fred Garcia of NY and the late Walter Garcia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Joseph's Church, North Dighton on Friday at 10AM. Visiting hours on Thursday from 5-8PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., (Route 138 South) Taunton. Interment Furnace Village Cemetery, Easton,MA.
