View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Joan T. (McPhee) Rizzo, 67 years old, died in Morton Hospital on May 4, 2006. Born in Cambridge to Boston Police Officer James Mc Phee and his wife Charlotte (Holmes) McPhee. She was educated in St Patrick's Grammar and High School in Roxbury. She was a retired assistant manager of the Hess Station, Belmont St, Brockton. A Taunton resident for over 10 years she was a communicant of Holy Family Church in East Taunton.
She is the wife of Michael R. Rizzo and mother of Jean Webber of East Wareham, Michael J. Rizzo of Sandwich and James E. Rizzo of Taunton, mother-in-law of Bonnie Rizzo and Kori Doski of Taunton and Walter Webber of East Wareham; grandmother of Michael, Thomas, Marie, Elizabeth, Samantha Rizzo and Walter Webber; and great grandmother of Paul Guzman. She was the sister of slain Boston Police Office George Holmes and also the late Charlotte McPhee and Mary Bottary.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Family Church, Middleboro Ave., East Taunton on Tuesday May 9, 2006 at 9 AM. Interment will be at a later date in Mt Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours on Monday, May 8, 2006 from 4-8PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., (Route 138 South) Taunton.
