View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Joseph M Giannini, 86 years old died at his home on April 24, 2006. He was born in North Providence, RI to the late Alfred and Pascarosa (DiNicola) Giannini. He was educated in Taunton Schools and was a grad of Boston University, having also studied at Harvard. He is a retired Professor of Languages at Bridgewater State College, having taught Italian and Spanish. He was a US army vet of WW II having served in Southern Phillipines, Western Pacific, China, Luzon, New Guinea and Northern Solomons Islands.. He previously taught at Taunton High School and at the Hope Valley Schools, in Rhode Island. He attended St Paul's Church in Taunton. He is survived by a niece, Sharon Tracey of TX; 3 nephews, Alan Giannini of Cumberland RI; Scot Giannini of Taunton and Jay Giannini of North Attleboro, 7 grand nieces and nephews and his long time companion Diane Madaras of PA. He was the brother of the late Olivia and Aurelo Giannini.
Funeral Information
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St Paul's Church on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 11:30 AM on Friday. Interment St Francis Cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday, April 27, 2006 from 4-8PM in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, MA
