View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Irene (Murphy) Gagnon., 85, of 95 Newman Avenue in Rumford, RI passed away Wednesday December 6, 2006 at her residence she was the wife of the late Edward G. Gagnon. Born in Fall River, MA on September 16, 1921 the daughter of the late Henry and Ida (Chassie) Murphy-Dube, she spent most of her life raising her family, and also worked at CVS for several years before retiring in 1999. She was a life long communicant of the former Saint Patrick Church in Fall River, and at one time was very active with the former church and school. Mrs. Gagnon enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, and tennis.
Survivors are two sons Edward G. Gagnon Jr. of Attleboro, MA Ronald N. Gagnon of Providence, RI a brother Henry Murphy of Taunton, MA four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Anita Burns.
Funeral Information
Her funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9am from the HEBERT-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 945 S. Main St., Fall River, MA followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Anne Church South Main St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow in Notre Dame Cemetery Fall River. CALLING HOURS FRIDAY 4-7pm.
