Yiu-Fai "George" Leung, 67, of Fairhaven passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. He was the husband of Yee Wun (Wong) Leung.

Born in Canton, China, the son of the late Chiep and Yik (Cheung) Leung, he lived in Hong Kong before coming to Fairhaven many years ago. He worked with his brother Bobby at the family restaurant Gumbo’s in Dartmouth until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Kenneth Leung and his wife May and Ming Leung and his wife Cass all of Hong Kong; a daughter Sarah Leung and her husband Rocky of Braintree; a grandson, Nok Leung; a brother, Bobby Leung and his wife King of Fairhaven; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Information

Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-8 PM in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. His funeral service will be Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home followed by interment in River-Side Cemetery, Fairhaven.
