View Tribute and Sign Guestbook Athanasios G. Dafulas, 75 of Emory Street, Attleboro, died Sunday at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Elaine (Papavasiliou) Dafulas.
He was born in Malakasi, Greece, a son of the late George & Haido (Papalexiou) Dafulas. He was a veteran of the US Army serving as a Corporal. Mr. Dafulas was a Toolmaker and Machinist for the L.G. Balfour Company for over 45 years, before he retired 10 years ago.
Mr. Dafulas has lived in Attleboro for over 55 years coming from Greece. He was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, in Pawtucket, RI. He enjoyed listening to and playing music, he also liked photography, and gardening.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons George Dafulas of Attleboro, and John Dafulas of Attleboro. A brother Euripedis Dafulas of Greece, also survived by 3 nieces and nephews, and 5 grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John Dafulas.
Funeral Information
His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12:00 noon, in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott St., Pawtucket, RI, burial with Military Honors will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Armistice Blvd., Pawtucket, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours Wednesday at the CHURCH from 11:00 am – 12:00 Noon. Arrangements by the COOK – HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 160 Park St., Attleboro, MA.
