View Tribute and Sign Guestbook TAUNTON – Sylvia S. (Stefani) White, 95, died Friday, November 7, 2008, in Morton Hospital in Taunton. Born in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Paul J. and Lillian C. (Everett) Stefani, she was the diwo of Robert K. White.
A resident of Taunton for over seventy-five years and a resident of her own home for more than sixty-seven years on Prospect Hill Street, Mrs. White was the retired church secretary for the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Taunton. She was a deacon of the Pilgrim Church and well as its Historian. She was likewise an active member of the Taunton Historical Society as well as a member of the Elizabeth Poole Society.
Mrs. White also enjoyed a professional jewelry designer and had her own home crafting business. She also derived pleasure from gardening and landscape design.
She was the mother of Sylvia Deborah White of Taunton, Carol Terry of Florida, Roberta Wilde of Vermont, Christopher White and his wife Shirley of Taunton, and Timothy White of Martha’s Vineyard. She was the grandmother of eight and the great-grandmother of three.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Pilgrim Congregational Church, 45 Broadway, Taunton Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 11:00AM. A private family interment service will be held in the White Cemetery in Taunton. Visiting hours will be held in THE CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), Taunton Tuesday, November 11, from 5:00-8:00PM.
