Dorothy M. (Shabler) Dallman

FALL RIVER – Dorothy M. (Shabler) Dallman, 87, of Fall River, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008, at the Fall River Jewish Home. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Edgar and Clara (Arundale) Shabler, she was the wife of the late Winston B. Dallman.

Mrs. Dallmann attended BMC Durfee High School, after which she worked as a weaver in the garment industry for several years. She then devoted her life to raising a family. Mrs. Dallman was a member at the former Saint James’ Church and was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved and cared for animals, especially cats. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, going to yard sales, and reading.

Mrs. Dallman leaves a son, Winston A. Dallman and his wife Nancy of Fall River; a sister, Edith Allen of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sonny Shabler.

Funeral Information

Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 2, 2009, at 11:00AM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS., 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00AM in the funeral home.
