View Tribute and Sign Guestbook REHOBOTH – Robert L. Chace, 69, of Rehoboth, died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. Born in Newport, RI, a son of the late Charles & Irene (Yokel) Chace, he was the husband of Isabel (Bettencourt) Chace.
Mr. Chace was employed as a carpenter and foreman for the Bankers Building Co. for many years before retiring in 2006. He was a resident of Rehoboth for sixty-three years, prior to relocating from Providence, and was an ardent hunter.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Chace is survived by three sons, Robert L., Jr., Alan D., and Kevin S. Chace; a daughter, Annette Johnson; three brothers, Charles, Richard, and Carl Chace; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008, at 10:00AM in THE HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset, MA. Burial will follow in the Rehoboth Village Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling hours will be held Friday, March 7, from 4:00–7:00PM.
