Catherine Walsh

RAYNHAM – Catherine (Forbell) Walsh, 91, died at the home of her son Patrick in Florida on Monday, April 9, 2007, following a period of failing health. Born in Richmond Hill, NY, the daughter of the late Howard and Elsie (Seaman) Forbell, she had been a resident of Raynham since 1955.

Mrs. Walsh was educated in the Osyter Bay (NY) Public Schools. She and her late husband, Patrick, owned and operated the Dog N Suds Root Beer Stand in West Bridgewater for more than seventeen years and was also employed by the former Leonard’s Restaurant in Taunton for more than twelve years. She enjoyed knitting, chrochetting and gardening.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick Walsh and his wife Marilyn of Marco Island, FL, John Walsh and his wife Sharon of Taunton, and Arthur Walsh and his wife Dianne of Margate, FL. She was the grandmother of Garin, Melanie, Scott and Matthew Walsh, and the great- grandmother of Kierra, Corban, Rory, Victoria, Anthony and Morgan Walsh.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Saturday, April 14, 2007, in the CRAPO-HATHAWAY FUNERAL HOME, 350 Somerset Ave. (Route 138 South), in Taunton at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday 4:00-8:00PM.
