Artur P. Aguiar

FALL RIVER – Artur P. Aguiar, 73, of Robeson Street, Fall River, passed way on Sunday, January 6, 2008, at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Candido and Maria (Aguiar) Perreira, he was the husband of Maria D. (Raymond) Aguiar, to whom he was married forty-nine years.

Mr. Aguiar was a self-employed mason for many years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Aguiar leaves a daughter, Ilda P. Cordeiro of West Greenwich, RI; a sister, Helena Leonardo of Fall River; a brother, Daniel Perriera of Canada; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Joshua, and Gary, and four great-grandchildren, Justin, Chelsea, Tyler, Samantha; in addition to several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Manuel Perreira.

Calling hours will be held on THURSDAY, January 10, 2008, from 4:00-7:00PM in the HATHAWAY HOME for FUNERALS, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
