Michelle "Shelli" Purdy

Michelle "Shelli" Purdy beloved mother, daughter and friend, passed away October 28, 2017, at the age of 31.
Born in Boston, she resided in Somerset most of her life. Michelle was a graduate of Our Lady of Fatima High School and attended Goddard College, in Vermont. She also studied Medical Assisting and phlebotomy. Shelli had taught herself to play several instruments as well. She was an accomplished cook and joyfully created incredible meals for her family. Her creativity knew no bounds. She had recently started a small online baking business, making special occasion cake pops and candies. Her brilliant spirit showed all her life. Throughout adversity she bravely rose to face each challenge.
Born on Christmas Eve she loved the holiday season and prepared for it months in advance. In Shelli's world there was always room for more "bling," from her Christmas village collection to her personal style, she was talented in putting things together perfectly. She will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, her generosity, and her love for her children.
She is the daughter of Donna M. Purdy of Somerset and the late Raymond G. Purdy; mother of two children, her son, Jarius and daughter, Zaina. Shelli is the granddaughter of Mary Lucy Kaszyk and the late Michael Kaszyk of Somerset, MA, the late Raymond Purdy and Mary Ann Brochu. and the late Dorothy Scott her biological grandmother. Her brothers and sisters are Demetrius Brand, Keisha Allen, Eric Crumbley, Thomas Coyne and Ericka Nunes. Neices and nephews Nehemiah Brand, Keyvonta Phillips, Ka'Marie Phillips, Hunter Lewis McCaffrey. Her memory and soul will live on in her precious children, the loves of her life, as well as, through her mother, grandmother, sisters, brothers and nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 160 Rock Street, Fall River, MA, on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 10:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
